Christmas Kitchen Fire damage in Oakdale

A Christmas nightmare occurred in 2017 when a Christmas ham was forgotten and left in the oven to burn. The individual that was cooking the Christmas ham had forgotten to buy sweet potatoes and decided to leave the ham cooking while they went to the store. While they were at the store, they ended up getting sidetracked and met with a friend. After about ten hours, they remembered that they had left the ham in the oven and rushed home. When they arrived back home, they noticed that a small kitchen fire had happened. Fortunately, there was a fire extinguisher in the kitchen to not let damages worsen. The homeowner called SERVPRO of South Cobb to do a quick soot cleaning job. They were surprised to find that the whole kitchen ended up being a total loss and that they would be able to get a kitchen to remodel, as shown in the after image.
